Zaparound for Claude and ChatGPT

What it does

The Zaparound connector lets AI assistants plan getaways, road trips, days out and date nights with real, up-to-date information. When you ask for things to do, somewhere to eat or a place to stay, the assistant searches Zaparound and shows the results as cards in the chat. When the plan is ready, Open in Zaparound takes it to the Zaparound app, where you can save it, edit it and take it on your phone.

It works with any assistant that supports remote MCP servers (Model Context Protocol), including Claude and ChatGPT.

Connect it

Server URL: https://zaparound.com/mcp. No account, API key or sign-in is needed.

• Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it Zaparound and paste the server URL. Then turn it on in a chat.
• ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors. If Zaparound is not listed yet, turn on Developer mode (Advanced settings) and create an app with the server URL and no authentication.
• Other MCP clients: add a remote server with the URL above, using the Streamable HTTP transport.

Menu names change from time to time. If a step does not match, look for "Connectors", "Apps" or "Developer mode".

• "Hotels near Old Quebec under $250 a night for 2 adults, December 4 to 6."
• "A 3-day road trip in the Gaspé with places to stop for lunch."

Tools

The connector has four tools. All of them are read-only: they search and display information, and never change anything in your accounts or ours.

• search_events — Upcoming events near a place and dates: concerts, sports, shows, festivals, markets and local events — Events posted on Zaparound by organizers (shown first, marked "On Zaparound") and Ticketmaster
• search_places — Restaurants, cafés, bars, attractions, parks and museums from a plain description — Google Places
• find_stays — Hotels and vacation rentals with live prices when dates are given — Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo, through our partner Stay22
• show_trip_plan — Shows the itinerary the assistant wrote as a day-by-day plan, with an Open in Zaparound button — The assistant (nothing is searched)

Times are shown on a 24-hour clock in the local time of each event. Links open in English, French or Spanish to match your conversation.

Data and privacy

• What the connector receives: only what the assistant sends to a tool, such as a place name, dates, number of guests, a search description or the itinerary text. It does not receive your name, email, account or chat history.
• What it keeps: nothing. The connector does not store your searches or itineraries and sets no cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard technical logs, such as errors, to keep the service running.
• Who else sees your search: to get results, the search terms are sent to the sources listed under Tools (Ticketmaster, Google Places and Stay22), and to Photon (OpenStreetMap) when Google cannot place a name on the map. No personal information is added.
• Links you open: Zaparound links include tags that show the visit came from an AI assistant. Partner sites (Ticketmaster, Booking.com and others) have their own privacy policies.

If you sign in to Zaparound after opening a plan, our Privacy Policy applies.

Commissions

Zaparound may earn a commission when you book a stay through a link from the connector. It does not change the price you pay. Results are not sorted by commission.

Limits

• The connector does not book or pay for anything. Bookings happen on the partner's site.
• Prices and availability come live from partners and can change before you book.
• Saving a trip happens in the Zaparound app. Saving straight from the chat is planned.
